This collection includes correspondence, clippings, memoranda, newsletters, schedules, reports, photographs, meeting minutes, legal documents, press releases, budgets, mailing lists, speeches, awards, miscellaneous papers, and personal artifacts. The majority of papers cover the period 1970-1990 and deal with Partee's relationship with the Democratic National Party and his tenure as State's Attorney of Illinois and as Chicago City Treasurer. Partee's association with service organizations and anti-drug efforts are also included. Items of special interest are a "Hard Copy" interview regarding Richard Speck and photographs of Partee with Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy, and Cardinal Cody.
